Gucci Padlock series: vintage heritage in a time capsule

The Gucci Padlock series, born on the runway during the early spring of 2016, stands as a classic masterpiece by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. Inspired by the brand’s early vintage travel suitcase locks, it embodies Gucci’s leather craftsmanship since 1921. The iconic square lock paired with a leather key cover not only pays tribute to the brand’s travel heritage but also incorporates classic elements such as Flora floral prints and bamboo handles, continuing the brand’s romantic and vintage chapter.

Selected from high-end materials such as GG-coated canvas and European calf leather, it is hand-cut and sewn in the Florence workshop, showcasing craftsmanship in details like lock buckle thread technique and bamboo-like ancient shaping method. Available in ultra-mini, small, and medium sizes, it covers classic floral patterns, basic black, white, and brown, as well as trendy colors like cherry blossom pink and bright yellow. There are also color-blocked and printed options. The detachable shoulder strap allows for multiple carrying methods, combining practicality with luxury elegance, making it an evergreen item for vintage style.
